      <image:caption>After 25 years of practicing yoga, I was surprised when I started experiencing significant hip flexor pain—pain that was even waking me up at night. So, I began incorporating physical therapy exercises into my yoga practice. Before long, I was back to moving freely, lunging to my heart’s content, and practicing without pain. That experience deepened my appreciation for personalized movement and inspired my passion for private yoga sessions. I love helping people discover what works best for their unique bodies so they can feel strong, capable, and resilient. Private sessions are ideal whether you've been doing yoga for years, are completely new to movement and unsure where to begin, or simply prefer individual guidance over a group class. They also offer the opportunity to ask questions and receive support tailored specifically to your goals. Together, we can explore yoga postures, body mechanics, breathwork, meditation, and yoga philosophy in a way that meets your needs. I often incorporate tools such as resistance bands, yoga props, and weights to provide additional support, strength, and stability. Sessions are available in person—either in your home or at a studio—or via Zoom.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>I first stumbled upon yoga in 2002, while living in Boston after returning from the Peace Corps in Mali—an experience that taught me the profound power of community. In the midst of processing my time abroad and searching for connection in a busy city, I found both in a yoga studio. What began as a way to find grounding quickly became a lifelong path. I practiced and trained to teach for eight years before moving west. Though I grew up in Maine, I’d been interested in the west since childhood—palm trees, sunny weather, the ocean that looked so different to me. In 2010, I moved to the Bay Area to deepen my practice, broaden my studies, and escape the long East Coast winters. In 2025, I took a year off in Mexico and then moved to the Reno, Nevada area. I primarily teach vinyasa flow, meditation, and pranayama, weaving in elements from my diverse trainings: vinyasa yoga, yoga for traumatic brain injury, yoga for runners, and yin yoga. I hold an E-RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance and have completed hundreds of additional training hours over the past two decades. My teaching is constantly evolving, inspired by my own movement, the wisdom of fellow teachers, and the insight of my students. At the heart of my work is the same spirit that first drew me to yoga: creating space for presence, connection, and joy.</image:caption>
